Geocache Description:

This cache is for my friend, bikehammer. Mike began caching in April 2010, when two of his passions collided into what he calls, “Pshyclocaching!” He has been a force to reckon with ever since. Although Mike and I have only met in person a couple times we’ve been able to laugh, tease, and empathize with each other through caching and the Internet.

As well as having a fantastic find rate, especially admirable as he finds the vast majority of his on two wheels, Mike is a prolific stasher as well. I have found most of his hides and hope to get caught up before he goes out on another frenzy. It has been a blast running out to grab a FTF, playing “Tag,” or reading the latest “Vegas odds” on a cache page during the last year.

In fact, one of my fondest memories involves a couple other cacher/bicyclists, the ‘Cycles! One day, when I had my leg in a cast from having broken my ankle in three places, the Gang and I had a “round up” with Mike and Sue in the pouring rain! We were all going after a FTF on a bikehammer hide. It was a blast!

The cache is not at the posted coordinates!

This is my first Field Puzzle Cache. It’s not designed to be difficult, in fact 10 year old Bubba figured it out easily. You do not have to do math or any sort of calculating. You simply hop on your pedal-driven recreational vehicle and take the Bike Lane to the end! The signs will guide your way. Pedal power; that’s it!

On your journey you will pass a post office, several churches, two parks, a fire station, a couple of cafes, a bank and even a gas station should you need air in your tires!

Although it is intended for this one to be found while on a bicycle, it may be possible to drive or walk to the final. You will need to watch small children and be extremely careful at intersections and the railroad crossing. Please remember to follow all traffic regulations and to wear a helmet! Be safe and have fun!
