Old Father Thames Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Lactodorum: Hi, this looks suspiciously like the cache has gone. Could the owner please undertake a maintenance visit to check if it's there or not. In the meantime I'm archiving it but I'll happily unarchive it if/when it's found assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Thanks, Lactodorum

Geocache Description:

On the South Bank of the Thames near to the London Television Studios and Gabriels Wharf. It has been moved back to the Benches from 20/01/05

A small Plastic container with a pencil underneath.
You can do this one quite easily within full gaze of the many passers by! Just follow the instructions.

The Coordinates are for the Circular Paved area that gives superb views on the River Bank East towards the City. From this spot you can see St Pauls and Blackfriars Bridge and North/West is The Shell Bulding Many other land marks. A short walk west will take you past the National Film Theatre towards The Millenium Eye, County Hall, The London Aquarium and Parliament.
Also worth a visit is Gabriels Wharf with its shops, Cafes and Bars.

Face away from the Thames with the TV Studios in front of you. There are 4 benches IMMEDIATELY in front of you.
Sit on the left hand end of the Left hand bench FACING the studios and then Its a tying shoelace to retrieve it...its Gaffered under the seat. Dont remove the gaffer tape as the cache sits nicely inside the tape and can be removed by liting the container upwards..

There you have it...You can fill in the slip of paper and replace without anyone being the wiser!

Please let me know how you did with this microcache, it's dissapeared a number of times when the seats have been removed for festivals...but its very popular averaging 4 finds a week !!
