Magoo's Mommy of Multiple Minis Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

mr.magoo: OK. Thanks to all who came to hunt this cache. I'm retiring to allow other caches in the area and due to some repeated disappearing stages. Good luck to all the babies that got new homes!

Geocache Description:

A Mommy cache with some Baby caches inside!

Caching seems to have slowed down a bit in the area but I've also noticed new names upon the caching logs. Here is a cache that will help encourage some folks to get out there and hide a new cache.

THE CACHE: This cache is a .50 Ammo can with a number of rubbermaid caches ready to go inside. Each Baby cache contains a logbook, pencil, Geocaching Notice, A WG$, a lanyard and a Keychain/compass/caribener.

There is also a log book for this cache itself so make sure you log your visit. Please feel free to take a baby cache if you would like. I'll do my best to restock it when it runs out, just log it here online that you are taking the last baby cache.

PARKING: For SAFE and LEGAL parking, Go to the back lot of Riverside Park (aka Bakelite Park) N40 32.486 x W74 30.660.
Sunrise to Sunset are the park hours.

LOCATION: You'll be walking in the Raritan River Flood plain. You will not have to cross any fences. Nor should you attempt to cross over Rt. 287 (There are paths under it *wink*). Being a Flood plain, there is always a fresh supply of trash. Please watch your step and feel free to Trash Out as much as you like. This isnt a quiet location either with Rt. 287 nearby, but it is VERY seldomly visited and I would be surprised if you saw someone during your hunt. I saw no signs of human passing (only their garbage that came down stream).

TERRAIN: Well you can porbably always count on some mud here except after an extended dry spell. There will always be debris from floods as well so its not a graveled park path. There are also some small feeders streams as well which may add to your challenge depending on your approach.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
I would NOT recommend this cache for very young cachers (under 8) because of the terrain.
I would highly recommend Boots. It always seems to be muddy and boots will make your journey easier.
I would recommend allocating at least 30-45 mins to complete the requirements and return to your car. Remember it gets dark early. Riverside park closes at Sunset.

As always feedback (positive or negative) is appreciated. Sat. reception was skiddish but always in the upper teens to low twenties for accuracy.
