Geocache Description:

A beautiful hike to a view of the longest Span Arch Bridge in America.

This is a VIRTUAL CACHE....the is NO log book or ANYTHING at the cache site. To get credit for visiting the site you MUST take a picture of either yourself or your GPS unit with the Span Arch Bridge in the background from the posted co-ordinates.

The LONG Point Trail is a 3.2 mile (round trip) hike thru the woods to an AWESOME rock outcropping in the New River Gorge.

From Fayetteville, you will find the trailhead --N 38 02.496--W 081 04.668-- via Gatewood Road. From US RT.19--follow RT.16 South thru Fayetteville. Take a left on Gatewood Road --sign indicates Kaymoore and Cunard--. Follow Gatewood Road for 1.9 miles, and turn left. There is a LARGE parking area on the left after a few hundred yards. Follow the trail thru some open fields and on to Long Point.

BE VERY CAUTIOUS ON THE ROCKS...a misstep could be fatal.

You will remember this place forever once you have been there...it's unique. Bring a snack and enjoy the view of the rafters at Fayette Station. Hope you enjoy the hike!
