Out on 2N23. Road is ok for vehicles with high clearance, 4wd not necessary.
You are looking for a camoed coffee can. This is almost a park and grab. Rating is due to the road in here. There is a pretty magnificent view of the backside of Running Springs from here. Enjoy and remember to display an adventure pass when recreating in the SBNF.

Didn't find the cache, but did find an old, shot-up coffee can. We assume this was the cache and it had been muggled :( But still an awesome view!

It was another absolutely gorgeous day to be in the mountains. I decided to make a solo run to the Heaps Peak area and enjoy the afternoon. Due to the type of day it was, I really didn't care if I came up empty for the day. The sun was shining brightly, the temperature was in the mid 60's, and I was feeling great! With this cache, I actually did come up empty. I looked in and around the obvious hiding place and then expanded my search to about a 50' radius. I'm going to put this on my watch list to see if it's found by anyone else. I found it odd that I spent so much time trying to find this regular size cache, but came up short. The view from the cache area was sure beautiful though. Thanks for bringing me to the location.
