here.
Most cachers know that there are
14 Different types of geocaches on geocaching .com.
They are...
1) Traditional Caches
2) Multi-cache (Offset Cache)
3) Project A.P.E. Caches
4) Mystery or Puzzle caches
5) Letterbox Hybirds
6) Wherigo™ Caches
7) Event Caches
8) Mega-Event Caches
9) Cache In Trash Out Events (C.I.T.O.)
10) EarthCaches
11) GPS Adventures Maze Exhibits
12) Virtual Caches
13) Webcam Caches
14) Locationless (Reverse) Caches
The Virtual, Webcam and Locationless caches are no longer available
to publish but have been grandfathered so the ones that were there
before they stopped publishing them, get to stay. They are now
under the Waymarking web site with some other GPS hunting
activities.
You can learn a lot more about all these caches under the
"RESOURCES" tab along the right hand side of the geocaching.com web
page.
Cyphers are used to code information. There are many different
types of cyphers, this is just one of them. I plan on using some of
the other cyphers in future caches.
Below, I have copied and
pasted the information for 4 of the most popular caches (off of
www.Geocaching.com) geocachers will encounter and the cypher. To
find the coords for this cache, print out the cache type section
and the cypher chart below. Use them to find the coords. You can
print the pictures of them loaded in the Gallery. I left open
spaces for you to use in the cypher chart.
You are looking for a Dog I.D./ information container. Once you
have the coords, it should be a quick find.
