There are many trails & fire roads leading to this cache from every corner of the park, but the favorite of my yellow Lab Max is the one which starts from the north side of the Observatory parking lot. Many people hike this trail at dawn to watch the sunrise from Mt Hollywood; in fact, I would not be surprised if there were more people hiking this trail at dawn than any other time of day. If you have not yet tried a sunrise hike, I strongly recommend this one.
From Mt Hollywood, follow the ridge top northwest about 0.3mi past the Ashley Peak cache. My yellow Lab Max picked out this cache location himself.
A green como'd six inch circular tin has been stocked with a logbook, pen & pencil plus many nifty items for your fair trading pleasure. Please leave the cache container well hidden and cover up any geo-tracks.
