This cache is placed near the McComb Railroad Museums newest
piece of equipment. In the interest of safety, the cache is placed
in the edge of the old parking lot beside the street. DO NOT cross
the rail barrier at the edge of the parking lot. You can reach the
cache without crossing the barrier. You are looking for an orange
match safe. Please reconceal the cache as well or better than you
found it.
ICG 100417 is a wrecking derrick that was formerly assigned to
the Jackson, Mississippi and Memphis, Tennessee areas. These
machines used to be the mainstay of rerailing railroad cars after
derailments, but have been replaced by specialized bulldozers that
can be brought to the scene quicker and have better mobility.
The cache is NOT located at the
equipment, but at the side of the street. DO NOT go to the
equipment. Work is currently in progress to move the equipment next
to the steam engine display. Once the equipment is moved to its new
display location this cache will be archived.
