I've decided to make this a virtual puppy since the cannister fell into a bottomless pit, however there is a logbook onsite. Cache is located at yet another form of cheap entertainment but also requires a random act of kindness on your part to fulfill log requirements. I'd like you to get the full experience so please, do not come search unless you plan to participate.
ADDENDUM:
Several cachers have asked, "exactly what am I asking you to do?" Well, to be specific...The coordinates should get you close to the front door of a nursing home. If you enter, you'll find they have their own log book placed strategically on a table by the door. I ask only that you visit with someone who hasn't had a visitor in a while and report back to us anything interesting you might have learned about that person or from that person. If you'd like to go the extra mile as the FTF did...bring flowers or do something thoughtful like place a bird feeder outside a window. In the past, as scouts, my children adopted a grandparent and read portions of a book on each visit. We learned to crochet in return. You'd be surprised what impact it can have on your life and theirs. Multiple logs are most welcome, in fact, I will hide a special cache for anyone that logs at least three visits!!!
ORIGINAL POST:
There is a fountain of information here...its just not in the form of a book. You'll actually have to go inside and ask to see someone that hasn't had a visitor in a while. Don't worry...I'm not sending you to a prison, but for the people living there...it may feel like one at times!!! Next step, "Hi!, how are you? Tell me all about yourself!"
Almost three years ago, I was injured at work and lost use of my left leg. So, I know firsthand how quickly four walls begin to feel like a prison, especially when "life" keeps friends and family from visiting to end the monotony of it all. I can only imagine what it feels like to be confined on a permanent basis.
Surgery and physical therapy got me on my feet again, but it was GEOCACHING that I credit for getting me back out into the world and helping me feel almost "normal" again.
For that, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!!
For that, I hide 101 Dalmations,
...in an effort to give back to the community that saved me from feeling homebound.
If you're too shy to enter the building, then perhaps you could share of yourself with someone sitting on the porch. But the pre-requisite for logging this find is to perform a random act of kindness!!!
You could be here for hours, if you're not careful. And there is no telling how much fun you could have, but it is certain that you'll not be the only one to benefit from this cache.
I am really looking forward to these logs. I can't wait to read how you spread a little ray of sunshine and am excited to think what you might learn. Don't be scared...they don't bite. Well, not often anyway...LOL!!!
Reckless raised four children on a shoestring and was a scout leader, so when it comes to cheap entertainment...I might be Queen!!! When the boys were young and said... " I'm bored...there's nothing to do". I proved there was at least 101 places we could find some mischief to get into and this game will prove it!!!
Since this is a such a large project, I've decided to take on some partners in "crime"...ooops...did I just say that !!! Well, I guess some of you will probably want to put us away after seeking 101 micros. So, I guess that makes me, Cruella. Wonder who will be Jasper and Horace. Hmmmmm, got you thinking now, do I?
This is just one in a series of 101 micros. Though they will be found and logged individually, I have plans for it to be several games within one really BIG one. The main goal being to locate all puppies, Pongo and Perdita before Jasper, Horace, and Cruella make coats out of them.
These dalmatians have rolled in the "soot" (black film canister) to disguise themselves as Labradors.
You all know the story...Now, get out there and find those PUPPIES!!!!
