Years ago there was cache in this park named "Area 51" after the secret air force base in Nevada. That cache was one of the first I found in the area and it must have been in the back of my mind when I ran across the following news clipping. After overlaying the map from the paper with an overhead photo of Walnut Creek Park, I am convinced that the missing Alien Flight Recorder must be somewhere in the park, waiting to be discovered. From his notes, it appears darkness holds the secret to revealing the box.
Caution: This cache will require walking around in a public park after dark. Heavy bushwhacking is not required if you take your time and choose your path carefully. We recommend groups to maximize your safety and fun. Flashlights are needed. Good shoes, long pants and bug spray are advisable. Park hours are 5am to 10pm. Night caches are great fun but please remember to be safe.
