Rooster 6: THANK YOU ALL FOR THOSE WHO LOGGED IN!

This cache had a nice run but it is time to put it to rest. This cache was put here in remembrance of my Grand pap John Chapman and also to remember on where he was lay to rest too. LOL! With all the back roads that WV has it's easy to make a wrong turn.

I'm glad for those who logged in and said some nice things about him. He was like one of my best friends when I was growing up.

RIP John Chapman

Geocache Description:

* * * * In remembrance of my Grandpap - Johnnie W. Chapman 1920 ~ 2005 * * * *

What another great way to remember and Honor a Hero that touched my heart by putting a cache out in is name. Some of the memories I have about my Grandpap will always stay close to my heart! Memories of swimming in his huge in-ground pool and all the great times at the cabin in D.C. Maryland, The gags and Jokes he told and the adventures at the Chapman Family Reunion's was always something to look forward to every year!! I could go on and on to a point I could write a book about him with all the fun memories I had. But He lost his battle with life in 2005. Not knowing the area all that well I tried to get back here, but time got away from me and after 9 years my Wife and I took a road trip to really nowhere and I've been wanting to come back here and late Spring/Summer of 2014. I had that chance to come back and pay my respects of HONORING A HERO!

On my first trip alot of things seemed fuzzy of what I can remember from 9 years ago. Once I got to the right area lots of things started to rush back into my mind!! My wife had to look it up to find the correct place cause we were in Philippi WV at first and he was in Belington WV (only 20Min away). Once there I put a cache on his site then took the coords, But I never got it published cause I really didn't want other cachers inside the graveyard. So I came back and this time my sister came along for the ride and been wanting to get back here herself. Second trip I moved the to a new location and a new containor as well. ((No Need To Go Inside The Graveyard)) You can see his site from the new location (1st row/far right)
