Workyticket: As there appears to have been no response from the CO we are archiving this cache listing to prevent it from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements in the area. Geocache Description:

This is a fairly straight forward cache situated on the outskirts of the historic and picturesque village of Blanchland.

Blanchland has been called one of the most perfect villages of England, and few travellers who drop from the wild moorland around it down into this wooded glen of the Derwent, would dispute the label. Features include a medieval gatehouse, a 19th century stone bridge and the remains of the abbey which dates from the 12th century.

We parked at N 54° 50.932 W 002° 03.373 and the area is easily accessible by following the signed public footpaths - please don't try a cross country route.

As per the guidlines, none of our caches are buried, placed in animal holes or hidden in dry stone walls. Please email us with your coordinates if you feel they differ significantly from ours.

P.S. There was a small prize for the first person to find this cache; although it's now gone, you could see if you can find it...
