Back Roads Traditional Cache
the woodcutter: Only the lid remains. Too much encroachment from nearby development. Time for this one to go.

A regular cache down a network of dirt roads
After we left the Vail Electric Substation we tried to find this particular dirt road that would take us straight west to Wilmot road. At least our map books showed 1 (one)straight dirt road heading west from Rita Road to Wilmot. We never found ONE road. We found an entire NETWORK of roads! And none of them were straight. So we drove down this one and then backed up when we couldn't go anymore and tried another and then crossed over to another and went north and then east again. When we finally realized that what we were driving (a Toyota Prius) would not make it through to Wilmot, we left a cache.
It is at this cache site that Trusty Companion had a "close encounter" with a cholla plant. So do be careful. Cache is my standard cookie tin although this tin is rather unusally shaped. Please recover so that it's color doesn't show.
