Each year, I try to go to Sedalia for the annual Scott Joplin Ragtime Festival. Ragtime piano afficiados and players from around the world converge on Sedalia for four days of ragtime fun.
For this flash mob, geocachers can arrive any time during the morning to listen to ragtime music at any of the free venues all over downtown Sedalia. Then at high noon, we will suddenly gather on the northwest corner of the court house lawn. We will sign the drawing log, enjoy refreshments (bag of candy or something), have a drawing for a door prize and then at 12:20, we will do our official flash mob photograph (if someone is bringing along a muggle friend, we might ask a muggle to take the photo so we can all be in it.) We will take the photo with historic Hotel Bothwell as the backdrop or even better, perhaps they will have their limousine out front! Then at 12:30, we will disperse as quickly as we gathered, but in this instance, it will be easy to blend in with the hundreds of ragtime music fans who will be in town for the week end.
Take some time and listen to some ragtime music. You will probably find your foot tapping.
