The easiest way to get to Little Round Pond is to take Firelane 23 (aka McGregor Road) off Transalpine Road in Lincoln. This road leads to camps on the Little Narrows so beware of children and animals playing. The area from McGregor Road north and east, including the southern half of Little Round Pond, is logging company land. Public access to Little Round Pond is via McGregor Road as described by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. For more information, see this document. You will not be intruding on the land of any camp owners if you park at either of the two additional waypoints on this cache page.
Once on Firelane 23, travel 1.5 miles, staying to the right. Trust your odometer -- even though your GPS will tell you to turn right earlier, that turn will take you to the opposite side of the pond! After the 1.5 miles, you will come to a newer logging road (built in 2017, thirteen years after the cache was hidden!) at N 45 18.407 W 68 26.715. You may want to park at this point to walk down the logging road, as the rocks making up the logging road are pretty large and aren't intended for travel by 2WD vehicles. You can walk in -- it is a nice walk. Follow the logging road to where the old jeep road to Little Round Pond crosses the logging road at N 45 18.518 W 68 26.788 and start following the old jeep road from there.
The cache is a medium-sized lock-n-lock container. The cache has been moved to a slightly different spot from the original hide location, but should still be a relatively easy find.
