Geocache Description:

This is a five part multi-cache which was resurrected from the remains of the 'As common as muck' cache. We decided that the original cache was too easy and too exposed!

For this cache you will definitely need pen and paper and make sure you have your mathematical head on. Terrain will involve some stiles and a reasonable amount of walking; expect the cache to take approximately an hour and a half to complete – with an hours walk back once you’ve found it.

This is our first attempt at a multi-cache and we’ve planned this route to take you over some fantastic scenery – we hope you enjoy it.

Before you head off be sure to print off the photo clue.

Drive to co-ordinates N52 20.369 W001 33.368 – you’re on the outskirts of Kenilworth. Head towards co-ordinates N52 20.256 W001 33.211 – wow! Now where are you? That’s a horrific change of scenery! Continue following the path.

Upon your travels you will come across historical records of visitors who have walked this way before!

Take a note of when “JH”, “RT”, “P.Jones’ and “Kev” were there! You might have to do a little hunting around…. Then add the years of ‘JH’ and ‘RT’ and subtract ‘Kev’, add this number to N52 18.177 and W001 31.003, go to these co-ordinates.

See the sign? (1/2 a mile?) Well, count all the letters on the post and add it to when P.Jones visited where you’ve just been. With this value, add this number to N52 17.974 and W001 30.732 – you’re be ready for a show!

Now where are you? Look at the first residence on the left – write down its name, if a=1, b=2, c=3 etc then what is the total sum? Keep on walking and add this to the dialling code in the old red box. Add these to N52 17.689 and W001 30.542 – off you go!

Photo clue: (now you did remember to print the photo clue didn’t you?) - find the correct stone and add the day to the month to the year and the age. (Phew!). Add this value to co-ordinates N52 17.654 and W001 30.337… watch out for ghosts!

Did you bring a picnic? Here’s a good place – whilst you’re eating why not count the new posts? Multiply this number by 9 and add to N52 19.358 and W001 32.379 – these are your final co-ordinates! Be sure to keep to the foot paths and good luck!
