Joe Wessels: They just don't make plastic the way they used to - it seems the puzzle is not holding up to repeated use, or perhaps it was muggled. Regardless of the why, I am putting this one to rest and will search for another type of puzzle that will hold up, or maybe even build one myself.

Geocache Description:

A Classic Maze Puzzle

You are looking for an ammo box.

And the cache is at the posted coordinates. So what’s the puzzle?

You are looking for a classic maze puzzle. The kind that requires not only an eye for how the puzzle is constructed, but also a degree of manual dexterity.

It has a spring loaded slot container holding the cache log and will spring open after the steel ball is in the place marked: “Press when ball is here” and you press down on that labeled tab. I marked the spot with a dab of red nail polish.

PLEASE – do not try to force, gouge, or pry open the container, or attempt to retrieve the cache log with any device or tool.
Get the ball under the red spot of the tab and push that spot with your thumb or finger, and the metal spring inside the container will eject the plastic slot holding the log open at the other end.
Please replace log back in the log as you found it.

For those that desire to refer to it, a printed solution sheet is available in the ammo box. While the solution is provided, it will still take the manual dexterity skill part to open the puzzle. Good luck.

For comfort, the pavillion, close to the cache, can be used to sit, relax, and solve the puzzle.
