This is small toy cache. It is located near the very beginning of the Mackinaw trail near the Kawkawlin Creek Flooding. Easy to walk, not so easy for strollers or wheelchairs as the terrain is uneven.
This is a really beautiful area. Bald Eagles have been seen nesting here as well as other wildlife. There is also a community center with playground at the beginning of the road leading to the flooding.
This cache is in a peanut butter jar with a bright red lid. It is located near the trailhead of the Mackinaw Trail (There used to be a sign there, but it has been chopped down). There is a small parking area near the trailhead.
The trail is a little tricky to follow at the beginning because it is very open there - just follow the blue marks on the trees. Also, the ground is a bit uneven so it is not easy on strollers or wheelchairs. The cache is located a little ways east off the trail, but because the area is open, it is not much more difficult than the trail.
