The cache can be accessed on foot, bike, or canoe -- although you'll have to leave the water or the trail in order to get to the cache.
Get a trail map at the entrance to the park, it'll come in handy. There's a $5 parking permit fee which can be paid at most of the marked parking areas. You can park at either "Q" or "S" if you're sure you'll be out of the park by closing. The gates are locked after 4:30 pm on weekdays and 6:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Check

Initial contents of the cache have been completely changed long ago, but there are still some bear necessities.
We saw deer while setting the cache, but the park does include other less desirable acquaintances -- snakes, mosquitoes, spiders and ticks. You might encounter the usual foliage suspects as well -- poison ivy, stinging nettles, etc. The river is faster and trickier than it looks, so be careful if you get near the bank.
There should be NO decoy caches. If you find one, please be kind to Jon's memory and remove it.
