Park at the kiosk.This is one of my favorate birding spots , I recommend bringing your field glasses or spotting scope . PLEASE NOTICE:The cache is not in the fenced in area,so please do not go over the fence.
The West Rutland Marsh and the boardwalk are now part of the Lake Champlain Birding Trail. Rutland County Audubon is currently implementing a 10 station bridge to bridge interpretive trail at the marsh of which station #3 is the boardwalk. This past summer R.C.A.S. erected a kiosk at the entrance to the boardwalk. The boardwalk is also on of the more productive stops on the R.C.A.S. sponcered monthly bird walk around the marsh .Having completed 51 months of monitoring in September, a total of 120 species of birds have been identified by a grand total of 574 participants.To join in on a monthly marsh walk,just look on the kiosk for the next one !
