Geocache Description:

This cache is located at Carpenter Falls. The scenic drive coming from the village of Skaneateles is beautiful. The falls is a find all by itself. If you’ve never been there it’ll be a real treat. In the winter the water forms an ice tube with the water falling inside.

This is not a park. There are no handrails. Take the easy way at all times, we wouldn’t send you down anything too difficult. When we were setting up this cache some people were rappelling down the falls. We don’t intend for you to do the same. Don’t walk across the water on top because it’s very slippery. You should wear hiking shoes, waterproof in the raining season and if you want to cool off in the summer bring swim shorts, towel and water shoes to take a refreshing shower under the falls. This is not winter accessible, But is nice to see the falls in the winter time.

This is a multi cache. The 1st cache which will be a canister that will hold 50 tags with the coordinates to the next cache. If you get to the last one, write down coordinates and leave the last one. The coordinates at the top of the page will show you where to park your vehicle and the location of the first cache. Stop and look at the base of the tree.

The 2nd cache is also a film canister, with the coordinates to the 3rd cache. The trail to the left works best. A root stairway will find you the way. Look below the 2 crosses for your cache. Please watch your step, We don’t want to add a 3rd cross for you.

The 3rd and final cache is a green ammo can with some nice things inside. Take something and leave something. Please sign the logbook and tell us about your adventure. Don’t go straight down the steep way. There’s an easier way from the start. Don't read the encrypted hints unless your stumped. You'll have to cross the creek. Look for a stone walkway on the other side. Then a short climb away from where all the people that visit here won't find it Good luck

Latest update 08-10-2012 Everything has been updated with new waterproof box, new tag holders and coordinates. Please let your GPS average for a long time for the last cache to zero in on it. Have Fun
