Geocache Description:

This is part of a series of caches designed to be found in any kind of weather.  I've recently been turned on to the joys of winter caching and have been profoundly grateful for the plethora of winter friendly caches in and around Missoula.  To thank all you great all weather hiders and finders out there, here is a series with the mid-winter cache fix in mind!

Many caches have come and gone in Moose Can Gully over the years, but few of them have lasted long.  I've lived nearby for about five years now but have never been able to figure out how the area got it's ridiculous name!  We've researched, googled, and queried lifelong Missoulians--no one seems to have any idea how it came to be called this.  Still, it's amusing, and it's also a neat little bit of urban woodland. It's nooks, crannies, and thickets are popular with the younger locals, so I've attempted to hide something here that is not only winter friendly but muggle resistant. Only time will tell whether I've been successful in my endeavor.  I walk by here often, though, so maintenance will be easy if problems do arise.

A lot of folks have probably seen one of these before, but I've altered it a bit to make it blend in as much as possible with the local environment.
