This cache can bee logged from anywhere in the world where there is a castle.
What is your favorite castle?
Mine is clear: Gripsholms castle at Mariefred, a small town, 70 km W of Stockholm.
At the spot the first fortress was built in the 12:th century. The castle of today is more or less from the 16:th century when the king Gustav Vasa tore down a couple of monasteries to get material to the new castle.
One of the monasteries was 'Pax Marie', meaning 'the peace of Maria', that have given name to the town Mariefred.
I have always thought of Gripsholm as my castle, since I was born and raised in Mariefred and played a lot in and around the castle.
To log this cache you need to:
- take a fresh photo of the castle
- take a photo of you and your GPS at the castle
- publish the coordinates of the castle
- and tell why you should be the King/Queen of the Castle
Remember: A castle can only be logged once, and you can only log one castle.
