Cache Across America – Utah Traditional Geocache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

BlueRajah: Hello UTAG

The cache appears to be missing or under the weather. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the cache owner the opportunity to check on the cache, and repair it, if necessary. If the owner feels they will not be able to repair this in a timely manner (i.e., three weeks) it may need to be archived. This will keep the cache from continually showing up in search lists. If there is no response stating what the owner intends to do on the cache page in the next few weeks ( 21 Days ) the cache may be archived.

If you do fix the cache, please post a Owner Maintenance log, then an enable log to allow people to start searching for it again.

Thank you,
BlueRajah

The Cache Across America Series: This is a series of caches that will take you on a caching tour of the entire United States. One cache is hidden in each of the 50 states. These caches each contain a numeric clue that will lead you to one final cache located in our nation's capitol upon completion of the series.

About this cache: On October 5, 1851, the Territorial Legislature of Utah passed a resolution providing for the organization and settlement of Millard County with the seat of government in the county, to be called Fillmore City, named after the President of the United Sates, Millard Fillmore.

The city was planned to be the Capitol of the State, and construction began on the "Statehouse." The first wing of what was to be a monumental structure was completed and used for legislative sessions in 1855 and 1856. The building was never completed and the Capitol was moved to Salt Lake City.

The Statehouse stands today as the oldest existing governmental building in the state.

Cache can be accessed via exit 167. Travel about one mile on the West frontage road

Logging Requirements: Enjoy this cache as you would any other. If you are searching this cache as a participant in the Cache Across America series, please post a photo of yourself or a member of your group with the cache in your online log. If you for some reason are unable to meet the photo requirement, please make alternate arrangements to verify your find with the individual cache owner. There is no photo requirement for non-challenge participants.

Individual verification of all 50 state finds will be required before logging the series final.

If participating in the series, please take note of the three digit code located inside this cache. Save this code in a secure place. When you have visited all 50 caches, and have collected all 50 codes, you are welcome to seek and find the final cache! Good luck!
