The purpose of this event will to allow those that don't have the means or cables to update their GPS's to the latest versions of the software. We will bring several laptops with the latest versions of the software for Garmin, Magellan, and ??? GPS's.
Since there are many brands and models of these units, please indicate in a log which brand and model you would like to update and if you can bring the cable for your GPS. Different units and models require different cables and we don't know which cables are interchangeable between models.
We will also have a few "technical" workshops on some of the hot products like Palm and pocketPC PDA's and associated software for "paperless" geocaching. We will also discuss PC programs such as Watcher and ExpertGPS. Open discussions can be held too.
NOTE: This program is postponed since the Geocaching 101 seminar will be held on Nov. 1. This maintenance event will be rescheduled on a Saturday in November when we can get the Learning Center again, or at Brawny Bear's work location.
