Take an ear-popping drive up this scenic road in Saratoga and you'll feel like you're almost in orbit.
While trying to find Montalvo's back door, I got lost. Well, I wasn't really lost, but I wasn't going where I wanted to go and I couldn't find a place to turn around on these crazy uphill roads. Ahh, the days before autorouting.The upside to my drive was that I found some really nice spots overlooking the bay. I could see all the way to Oakland and SF. I was in the neighboorhood again, so I thought I'd drop by and place a cache so others can enjoy this great view and see how 'the other half' lives.The terrain is increased only because your brake foot might get tired. I would not suggest doing this at night unless you know these roads well. Please also follow the signs to yield to traffic going up on your return trip. The cache is a film can, attached to a man-made object at 2000 feet. Enjoy the view!
