Geocache Description:

Come back for a recycled cache in the shadow of Escondido's own Muffler Man.

According to RoadsideAmerica.com
"These colossi were originally created in the 1960s by a California fiberglass company for gas station chains in sizes ranging from 18 to 23 feet. M-Men once beckoned noisy and exhaust-weary vehicles to replace their mufflers. The statues'hands were molded to hold mufflers or tires. As establishments closed or changed owners, the lantern-jawed Muffler Men were transplanted to other locales. While hundreds have been lost forever, many still stalk the shoulders of highways across the nation."

I archived my original 'Muffler Man Micro' last year and I've wanted to replace it ever since. When I archived another cache, I realized that particular container would be perfect for a new muffler man cache. If you've closed out all of my caches, you'll know the container in a heart beat. If you haven't, the cache may be a little harder than a park-n-grab.
