How Geocaching Works
This cache is located in a city park in Cedar Rapids city. Terrain is open and hilly woods. The park is closed 10 PM to 6 AM. Please observe all trail rules and hours to ensure we retain the privilege of placing caches.
The solution to this cache is a mapping exercise. This can also be solved mathmatically but is not nearly as fun. To locate the cache you must plot an X using the points provided and mapping software such as Google Earth. When you create the X, plot the intersection of the lines. The cache is located at the intersection of the lines.
The corners of the X are:
Intersection of Blairs Ferry Rd & Edgewood Rd -
Metro High School, 7th St SE
Harrison School 11th St NW -
Intersection of Center Point Rd & 42nd St NE
It may be easier for you to use exact coordinates for the X. Therefore use:
N42 02.081 / W91 42.075 - N41 58.375 / W91 39.166
N41 59.162 / W91 41.303 - N42 01.290 / W91 39.925
The cache contains a log and can hold some small trade items. Consider that this cache is in an active park. Please use discretion when hunting and replace the cache as found. Hunt this cache at your own risk. This one has been discovered out of place more than once.
Please see that it is returned to it proper hiding spot, out of sight and secured for the next finder.
