Polecat Creek Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

GPSOkie: Looked for it yet again and it is gone. I think the high waters got it. Will try at a different location another day.

Geocache Description:

Cache is located near Polecat Creek on the north side of the creek. Best access is from Parkwest in Jenks. Steep, rocky descent. Rocks will be slippery when wet !

This one will require some bushwacking. It isn't bad in the winter when most of the plants are dead. If you park south of the football fied in Parkwest, it isn't to much of a hike throught the woods. Beware of the descent just after you leave the parking area. It is rocky and will be slippery when wet. Once you make the descent, it is fairly flat but pretty heavily wooded. The cache is very close to a scenic view of Polecat Creek.

The cache itself is a 50 cal ammo can painted forest green with white lettering identifying it as a geocache. When your get within 20 feet or so, you should be able to see the cache in it's hiding spot. Since the cache is in a good size container, you can bring larger items to trade. I've started it out with some DVDs, books, toys and tools. Enjoy !
