A magnetic nanocache

Los Angeles' Painted Ladies

Once upon a time, there was a Locationless Cache home-based in this neighborhood.  The locationless caches became Waypoints and were moved out of Geocaching.  A real, physical nanocache is now located in this interesting neighborhood.

Carroll Avenue was the first suburb of Los Angeles and is located on the crest of Angelino Heights overlooking downtown Los Angeles.  A real estate boom in 1887 saw the construction of numerous majestic Victorian homes in the new neighborhood.  The entire 1300 Block of Carroll Avenue is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Come by, find the cache, and then visit a color part of Los Angeles' past.

OH...MY...GOD!!!! ITS THE HOUSE FROM THRILLER!!!! yes...THAT THRILLER!!!! This was by far my favorite cache of the day! This street is amazing and we got to meet some of the residents who gave us a history tour of the street! Anheiser-Busch (yes...the Budweiser guy) owned one of these ladies! I can't WAIT to come back here for Halloween! GREAT CACHE GeoCraig! TNLNSL

What a cool street! We made the find easily, and got a mini-tour of the neighborhood from one of the residents before we made the drop. TFTC!

Neat street TFTC! great choice. I've been down this street once before, and found it amazing. Kind of cool in the rain.

I don't know why I waited to grab this cache. I simply love this neighborhood because it flashes me back to another time altogether. I'll tell you one thing, stucco has nothing on this style of architecture. Thank you for the hide to remind me of the beauty.

This is the smallest cache I've found yet! I loved it! Super friendly cat that lives next to the cache. He looks like an orange tabby but has a marble type of coat. Love the stealth.
