Cleaning Up After Bigfoot! Cache In Trash Out Event

This cache has been archived.

JnKLong: Went and paddled this yesterday. With the high water and 2 kayaks it still took us 4 hours. With canoes and a group it would take upwards towards 5-6 hours. Going to look for a shorter location hopefully. Too long for 1 day.

Geocache Description:

River clean up starting in McCausland and ending at Rock Creek.

Well to say the least we all know how much garbage there is in the rivers around the area. This couldn't be caused by any human throwing trash out the window or on the ground...

This must be all of bigfoot's garbage from all the crazy parties he throws down on the river banks when no one is around. Either way it has to be picked up by someone. And I'm pretty sure Bigfoot isn't going to do it. So why not all of the local geocachers!!!

Clinton County Conservation has been nice enough to donate 10 canoes to the river clean up. These will be first come first serve bases. You can bring your own water crafts if wanted. The canoes will be our primary garbage holders for the trip down the river. We want everyone to meet at 8am at Rock Creek Marina. Where we will try to shuttle everyone up to the McCausland entry to the river. And plan on starting down the river at 9am. This should take around 3 1/2 - 4 hours to do the entire clean up. I will be placing new caches on the route down the river as well so people can pick up some new T 5 rating caches!

Bug spray and sun block are highly recommended on this trip!!!! And of course a sack lunch and plenty of water to drink!!!
