Geocache Description:

One of the best engineering feats on the Eastlink Freeway.

This cache was placed as a part of the Great Eastlink Geocache Project. The Project involved 25 Geocaching Teams from the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne who combined their efforts in July 2008 to create the largest cache series in Australia in which each cache in the series is individually owned by one team.

This cache is placed at the intersections of Eastlink Freeway, Highway 1 (Dandenong Road) and Heatherton Road. In order to create this intersection, each of the roads was built to it's own level. It looks impressive and this cache is placed to give a perfect vantage point to view all three levels. You will be on the middle level, looking up at Heatherton Road and down to Dandenong Road.

If accessing this cache from Eastlink, get off at Dandenong Road and turn east. Once clear of the Tollway, do a U-Turn at your earliest opportunity and park near the shops on the service road just before getting back to the Tollway. Walk back to the cache via the footpaths.

To access this cache, climb the short ramp. (I even got the Eastlink chaps to install a handrail especially for this cache.) The cache is a 400ml Sistema container which is hidden behind some bark under the wall.
