This is the seventh cache in our series of eight "Oz" caches on the
Kinzua Valley Trail beginning at the Westline Trailhead. The trail
is being developed by the Kinzua Valley Trail Club. Currently, it

June 21, 2009 - original container is MIA. Replaced with a film canister today.
The Cowardly Lion is a character in the fictional Land of Oz
created by L. Frank Baum. He is a lion, but he talks and interacts
with humans. He is the last of the companions Dorothy befriends on
her way to the Emerald City. The Cowardly Lion joins her so that he
can ask the Wizard for courage, being ashamed that, in his cultural
role as the King of the Beasts, he is not indeed brave. In the
classic 1939 movie, "The Wizard of Oz", the Cowardly Lion was
anthropomorphic and played by Bert Lahr. Despite outward evidence
that he is a coward, he displays great bravery along the journay
with Dorothy, the Scarecrow, and the Tin Man. Curly Top and I know
that cachers have great courage....hiking, climbing,
bushwacking.....to log a cache. FTF: Somewhere over the
rainbow....I mean, somewhere on the way to this cache we either
placed the lotto ticket in a previous small container or we dropped
it....sorry about that. Container only has enough room for small
trades i.e., coins or pins.
