Just like the title says, this is
a locked metal box, that is stocked full of
goodies, and is Buried in rocks. The only
way into this cache is to use a key. The only way to get one of the keys is
to find one in an Austin area geocache. The keys (LSB Key #1, LSB Key #2, and LSB Key #3) are unofficial travel bugs
called LSB Travel Keys which will travel around Austin area geocaches. Watch
this geocache to see where the LSB Travel Keys are currently located. By
reading the cache logs and notes that are posted by previous key holders, you
can see where the keys currently reside and plan to visit the right cache to
obtain a key.
Each key has the exact coordinates
of the actual locked metal box. Your job, should you choose to accept it, is
to find any one of the LSB Travel Keys and visit the cache to exchange your
goodies. The actual lockbox is located in the Barton Creek Greenbelt and it
should take less than 20 minutes to get to it from the parking coordinates (dogs
on leash are OK here).
What is your incentive to do this?
Well, besides the thrill of the hunt, I have stocked the geocache with some
nice items, and hopefully you will trade nicer items too! Also, you will see
a really fantastic natural feature on your way to the cache! However, if there
have been recent heavy rains you may not be able to get to the cache. The lockbox
is 12" x 7" x 3.5" and wrapped in a plastic bag.
Please plan to find the key, get to the cache, and replace the key in
a new cache in the same weekend if possible so that others will have
a fair opportunity to get the key when you're finished. Once you have dropped
off a key, please remember to post a note on this page as to the key's whereabouts and INCLUDE THE KEY # PLEASE.
The posted
coordinates are for parking only and to help you plan your geocaching route!
Do not attempt to find this cache without obtaining one of the LSB Travel Keys
from another geocache first.
Include the LSB Key # in your logs please! Thanks
