Geocache Description:

The original intent of this small cache is to experience one of the Ridges/Door County Coastal Byways Nature Tour caches which is in the process of being developed with the cooperation and help of The Ridges Sanctuary and the Door County Coastal Byway scenic corridor. This cache is being updated to enhance your experience.



This cache can be found in a bustling port on Lake Michigan named Town of Jacksonport. The cache is hidden in a small Pelican water tight container. Please be discreet when finding this cache and carefully return it to it's original hiding place. Make sure you secure the lid with the water tight front latch.You will not need to go on any private property to locate this small cache. Small and appropriate trading items are encouraged. When you find the cache, enjoy reading about the history on the plaque and at the DCCB Kiosk in Lakeside Park across Hwy 57.

After viewing the DCCB Kiosk, answer the following question with the correct code word/s and collect a special prize from The Ridges Sanctuary Nature Center in Baileys Harbor. (45* 04.405 W087* 07.201). TO COLLECT THE PRIZE YOU MUST LIST THE CODE WORDS FOR ALL FOUR (4) RIDGES/DCCB NATURE TOUR CACHES. Please do not send the answer to the owner of the cache. This step is not required if your not participating in the DCCB Nature Tour. Just log in your find. Look forward to a number of other Ridges/DCCB Nature Tour caches in the following communities throughout Door county: Northport, Ellision Bay, Sister Bay, Fish Creek, Egg Harbor, Sturgeon Bay, and Liberty Grove.
