Geocache Description:

Finding the cache is EZ--once you find the right trail. Couple of hours hike; some steep sections. Nothing technical.

Cache lies just off a seldom used, athletic trail in Rivas Canyon. Easiest public trailhead access is Will Rogers Park. Also accessible from Temescal Canyon Park, Palisades Highlands and Reseda/Mullholland. From the latter two starting points, you will need to find a well hidden trail leading off the Backbone Trail. This trail branches off Backbone just above the "damp overgrowth" section, which, in turn, is just above the "Live Oak/Fencepost Bend".If starting from Will Rogers or Temescal Canyon, after you find the cache, keep going forward, and you will end up making a great loop hike.Allow three hours plus for the loop hikes. Bring plenty of water and be careful to check for ticks after. Can be hot and exposed in summer. Minimal poison oak. No posted warnings prohibit dogs. Not suitable for mountain bikes or horses.Cache is a painted coffee can; not particularly hidden--the challenge is in finding the right trail.
