Geocache Description:

This park needed another box in the woods to replace the archived Metal Bugs of Mystery Cache. The cache is a few hundred feet from the Bugs but you can visit them on the way.

While you’re at it, don’t forget to visit Harry; Take in the view; Log the benchmark. From there you can follow a good trail into the woods to the bugs. From that clearing, if you go Northeast in line with the two bugs, you’ll hit another trail which will take you to the cache.

There are no evil tricks here, and the cache should be easy to find. The nearest parking is at the South lot, off of Emerson. The hike is a flat round trip of 1.4 miles.

The famous metal bugs of mystery are in a clearing under a huge Big Leaf Maple just a few yards from a well trodden trail. Coordinates are: N47°39.461' W122°25.317'. To get to the cache from there, line up the two bugs and walk that line to the edge of the clearing where you will run into a trail, which winds it's way right to the cache.

Along the way you’ll get good views of the world’s largest mirror ball,

but the light will have to be just right to get the full effect.

21 January, 2006 I've added waypoints of the landmarks mentioned above. They aren't necessary to find this cache but they can help.

Nothing to see here.
