Colt State Park is a beautiful park located in Bristol, Rhode Island. It currently has 464 acres of lawn, lots of hiking trails and spectacular views of the water. This wonderful spot seems like a great place to wrap up summer caching and begin to welcome fall caching which will be coming in the weeks after this event ends.
We will be meeting at a small picnic area in the relative middle of the park. This will ensure easy access to different areas of the park so you can mingle, find a few caches, and then return and mingle some more if you choose. Some real veterans of the area might recall a special event held here a few years ago. If anyone is using the picnic tables that day, an alternate area will be found nearby...just look for a group of people standing around a picnic table! A note will be posted to the page as well with updated meeting coordinates only if the picnic tables at the posted coordinates are taken.
This event will be held on Saturday, August 30th from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. (at least). Come and stay for the whole time or just a few minutes. Bring a picnic lunch if you choose to as well as anything else you may need for your geocaching afternoon. We hope to see you there!
