Coriolanus - Redux Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

muchado: My first Shakespeare cache to get archived, It's a shame, but I just can't keep up with the maintenance. I always feel bad for cachers who go there and DNF because it's been muggled once again. It was a cool area. Maybe someone else will have better luck keeping a cache active in the area. Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

A visit to Riverside Park. The coordinates are for parking and the trailhead. Solve the puzzle for the final coordinates.

This cache is inspired by Shakespeare's tragedy Coriolanus. As I was exploring this park, I was drawn to a desolate spot complete with a deer's skeleton nearby. I
immediately thought of Coriolanus. A synopsis of the play as well as the full text can be found here. There have been several television adaptations and even a few movie adaptations of Coriolanus, but none have really been noteworthy.

"Hence, rotten thing! or I shall shake thy bones Out of thy garments."
(Act III, Scene I)

Like all my other Shakespeare caches, you do not have to read the play to find the cache.

Why A Redux?

This cache and one nearby - The Tempest - have had a lot of muggling problems since I first put them out. First, I tried making them premium caches and they were still muggled almost as soon as I repaired them. I now believe these caches are being intentionally muggled. I'm using a complex puzzle to keep their location further shrouded. Normally, I would just archive these caches, but I'm trying to keep them alive for those who are trying to finish the series.

The Cache

This is a little known and little used "park" in Merrimack. This should be a nice walk in the woods in the summer, but it's a bit desolate in the winter. There's little noteworthy about this area. Even the passing river is a bit sedate and boring. I saw lots of sign of deer on my way out but didn't spot any (living) ones.

The Puzzle

This puzzle is difficult to solve. I will give no hints or guidance to anyone until you have twenty or more of my other Shakespeare caches. Once you have found the prerequisite number of caches, I will give you as much help as you want.

Please Note

  • Although night caching is not prohibited, parking and the trailhead are visible from private residences. So I don't recommend
    night caching.
  • You may find closer public access to the area than the parking coordinates, but the terrain rating would be significantly higher from there.
  • Since this is a replacement for the original cache, you do not have to find this cache if you found the original as far as the Shakespeare series is concerned.
