Geocache Description:

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is one of the boarding school where 11- 18 year old students learn how to hone their magic talents.

Hogwarts is located somewhere in Scotland.
Charms and spells protect the school from unwanted intruders and make it impossible for any Muggle (i.e. non-magical folks) to see it.
When a Muggle looks at the school they see ruins and signs warning of Danger.
The castle has extensive grounds with a forest, the Black lake, many out buildings and gardens and a regulation size Quidditch pitch.

The Whomping Willow tree is a nasty tree.
It does not likes folks approaching it and will swing its huge branches to get intruders away.... including innocent birds.
It hides the entrance to a secret passage which leads out of the Hogwarts grounds to the Shrieking shack.

As it was getting a bit annoying to have all the vistors attacked as they approached - the tree was cut down.
The cache and letter box stamp are nearby to the above coordinates. There is one log book for Geocachers and Letterboxers alike.
See if you can find out what is left of the whomping willow as you approach.... and look for the secret passage but beware, nasty creatures may be near.....

Please note: this cache is on private property - the cache owner's property that is.
You do not have to go into the yard- the remains of the Whomping Willow is on the blacktop !
