Geocache Description:

I got the idea for this cache whilst reading Terry Pratchett's fine Discoworld novel, Thud!

In the book, Commander Sam Vimes of the Anhk-Morpork City Watch needs to solve the mystery of the Battle of Koom Valley, a battle held centuries ago between the dwarves and the trolls.

The secret of Koom Valley is to be found at the spot where a 50 foot long circular painting of the battle was painted. By standing in the middle of a circular room surrounded on all side by the painting, you will almost be in the battle itself.

Sam Vimes used a smaller version of the painting to take to Koom Valley, and by walking around with the circular copy over his head, when the scenery matched, he knew he would be where he should be.

Now, you need to do the same thing, although regrettably there isn't really much of a mountainous valley in London to recreate the same landscape!

Print out the attached photos, 1-7 going clockwise. From the supplied co-ordinates, you need to locate the area that the photos were taken from, and here you will find the cache! The cache is somewhere between 100-500m away from the start co-ordinates.

Note: Its hard to see in the photo, but clearer in real life - in Thud! 5 there is some water just to the right in the middle, and likewise on the left of Thud! 6

Good luck, and may you help bring peace between the dwarves and trolls.

Note: I apologise, but the cache is not filled with Discworld goodies. Sorry :o(
