A multi-stage cache for the whole family. The coordinates listed are for the first stage. Plenty of parking available at all locations.

The multi-tiered Millennium Park was opened in December, 2000 but is still not shown on many maps. It is a 100 acre park with 6 miles of walking and biking trails, plus a picnic area and a children's playground. There is usually a breeze so kite flying is often done on the top level. Bring a canoe and use the public access to the Charles River or bring your fishing license and try your skill.

If you combine this cache with the Millennium Park Cache you will get a chance to view each area of the park. You can move your car from area to area (plenty of parking) or walk, it isn't far. This is a safe area for children of all ages. The entire park is handicap-accessible.

NOTE: We have had to relocate the final cache. The first two stages remain the same. To remove it from the eyes of muggles we had to place it where about 30 feet of bushwhacking is required. The 10 feet surrounding the cache are now not terribly child friendly for very small children.

NOTE: There are faded numbers on the slab at stage #2 but they have nothing to do with the coordinates you seek.

The entrance to the park is off the VFW Parkway. You will pass a large Medical Center on your right and then come up to a traffic light. Turn left at this light and go between the Home Depot and the MDC skating rink.

Parts of this cache are not very snow friendly!

We did stage 1 last Friday while the bairns were cycling round the park. Ma Broon had already done this but I didn't want to skip the stage and cheat. Friday was pretty cold so we were back today to complete the cache. Ma Broon had been stumped at stage 2 but with Mrs Stinky_dog on-site to 'help' she spotted it while I was still looking!

On to stage 3 with all the dog walkers wondering what we were up to in the bush we found the cache easily.

TN but logging in some TBs to add some miles.

Yahoo! Found it! I knew that Big sister from Scotland (Stinky_dog) would find it and she did. Phew...I dislike posting DNF's so I am glad to have this one off the list.

We were almost positive that stage #2 was still there but we came out armed to replace it. Turns out all stages are as they should be so we didn't have to do anything. We took the TB out of the final to get it moving along again. All is well...

I did stage one a while back and came back today on this beautiful 70 degree October day to finish up. BUT stage 2 eluded me.....Grrr 2nd DNF of the day....I even called my expert geocaching sister in Scotland (stinky_dog) for her help, she read the clues to me but no luck...the place is very overgrown, and eye level is all in the eye (height) of the beholder so maybe I am just too short to see the metal tag. I'll be back....
