Ammobox is nestled under some arched tree branches near the west bank of the pond. 3 pinecombs mark its exact spot.
A small pond sits on one of the northern edges of San Francisco's McLaren Park. Park at the corner of Harvard and Bacon and stroll over to the Big Stone Dolphin. He is looking towards the spot where the cache is located.
Walk down the path about 30 yards toward the bridge. Do not cross the bridge. Look down and to the left, you should see the pond. Begin walking down the narrow trail towards the pond. CAUTION! TRAIL CAN BE EXTREMELY MUDDY/SLIPPERY! About halfway down and to the left you will see a small grotto framed by some curved tree branches.
Proceed into the little grotto. Walk all the way to the back area (YOU WILL HAVE TO STEP COMPLETELY OVER THE HIGHEST OF THE ARCHED BRANCHES TO DO THIS). Look to your left. A large ammobox is nestled in the tiny natural alcove formed by the branches, hidden under some brush and marked by a triple cluster of pinecombs. YOU NEED NOT DISTURB ANY COVER TO SEE THE PINECOMBS, THEY WILL BE VISIBLE IF YOU ARE STANDING IN THE RIGHT PLACE. Remove the pinecombs and clear some of the brush cover to reveal the cache.
Good luck, and enjoy my little slice of paradise right here in the City!
