Instead of going trick-or-treating on this Halloween day, WascoZooKeeper created some new treats for area geocachers. This is one of five caches placed today in Campton Woods. Together with Gale's Gallopin' Grounds, you can make a delightful tour of the forest preserve.
Note 1/23/05: I've updated the coordinates to the average of those recorded by Stunod and CoD. My original coordinates of N 41° 55.616 W 088° 25.188 seemed to be a bit off when I was out there with them -- I think CoD is right, some cache gnomes may have been at work!
This was the last of the new caches I placed today before heading home. I was able to use a nice big container, which I enjoy doing because I can stock it with a lot of goodies.
The pond really is nearby, but it's not easy to see through all the tall grass surrounding it. Please be respectful of the private property owners to the south of the cache area and do not cut through their property.
Please be sure to close the cache container tightly.
