One of the trailheads of the San Clemente Beach Trail is at the end of the North Beach parking lot along Avenida Estacion in San Clemente. The mostly level trail stretches 2.4 miles along the ocean from North Beach to the State Park. This CITO is a good excuse to take a pleasant Sunday morning stroll along the ocean.
The event will start at 10:00. (Be sure to come, also, to the COFFEE BEFORE THE CITO (GC5XQ9H) event which starts at 8:30 at the other end of the parking lot.) A group photo will be taken at 10:15. Trash bags, gloves and water will be provided. Please wear suitable clothing (beachwear!) and a hat. Don't forget to bring your grabber if you have one. Parking, unfortunately, is not free. The spaces with meters are less.
SCHEDULE
10:00 Meet at east end of parking lot. Sign log and get a name tag.
10:15 Group photo.
10:20 Begin walking trail. How far you walk is up to you.
Come join us for this fun morning on the trail. Event officially ends at 11:30, which is when it is the last chance to turn your trash bags in at the CITO table back at North Beach. You can take longer to enjoy the trail, and just place your bag in one of the many barrels along the way. There are no special prizes, just earn a souvenir and enjoy picking up one or more of the 9 caches on the trail!
