Located in a beautiful county park overlooking the Rogue River. The park has a $2 day-use fee; make the most of it by grabbing some other caches in the park and packing a picnic. Cache is in a plastic screw-top container.
After I spent a while shlepping through lots of blackberry brambles to find a nearby cache, I thought I should hide an easy one for y'all. No brambles. No funky swamp water. No poison oak (that I could see, anyways). Just pure fun.
Our local hero in his all-terrain wheelchair can probably snag this. I don't think a traditional wheelchair could handle the mud in the winter.
On the day I hid this cache, the Rogue River was rushing along at an amazing pace; the sight of it made me want to break out my kayak. Alas, this park has no boat ramp and no decent beach to park a boat. Bummer.
Bring your binoculars for excellent birdwatching.
