Geocache Description:

A memorial cache to our former cat.

Toby was the son of a stray cat who adopted us while we lived near Onion Creek in Southeast Austin. His favorite hangout was on top of our roof which he'd reach by climbing the small tree nearby. He'd sleep in the valley all day long until it was time to come in for supper.

He made the move to our new house not too far away from this cache and while he didn't like to go outside in the strange, new place, he was always a sweet and playful cat.

In 2004, we had to put him to sleep because his kidneys were failing and he'd already developed diabetes.

This cache is especially for kids and is filled with lots of toys. We'd also enjoy seeing any of your pet stories in the logs.

If you're hunting the other caches in the greenbelt, I recommend using their parking coordinates and just hiking to this cache. If you're ONLY going after this one AND you don't want to enjoy a beautiful hike/bike ride through a mostly undeveloped greenbelt, there is a trail that comes near the street here: N 30 09.717 W 97 50.138. Add at least half a point to the terrain if you start at that location...there's a monster hill!
