City Circle Trams are W class and
this
one number 856 was built in 1940.
As
joint winners of last years City circle event Spruce Mooses
and Team Crackers will be co-hosting this years CITY CIRCLE
SCRAMBLE
Where:-
This year we will meet at the Flag Staff Gardens. There is ample
free parking in King St and along Latrobe St and the city circle
tram stops out front of GZ. Unfortunately trains do not stop at
Flagstaff on Sunday so it will have to be Southern Cross or
Melbourne Central Stations and catch the City Circle Tram.
When:-
We hope to meet at 10.30am for the briefing, start the scramble at
11.00 and have it wrapped up by 13.30 for the tally and
awards.
Like previous years we are trying to make this an event that will
be fun for all the family.
There will be Questions to answer, puzzles to ponder, games to
play, and mysteries to solve.
You can participate as a solo player or join up with others and
form a combined team.
What to
bring:-
1/ Your GPS
2/ A writing implement and clip
board.
3/ A digital camera, only one per
team.
4/ And most importantly your sense
of humour.
There are no BBQ’s at the meeting site but we will supply a
couple of large portable LPG units so if you wish to bring along
some food feel free, there will be a lot of cooking space. We will
also have some basic refreshments available at GZ.
This year we will have questions and activities that will earn you
different amount of points, you will not be expected to finish all
the possible tasks, and the winner may not be the fastest or
smartest but possibly the most cunning.
Any teams interested in attending this event please log your
intention so we know roughly how many to cater for.
Hi all. It’s almost
time!
With the help of the Mrs Coffee minus her clan
the event has been independently beta tested and all looks
good.
Remembering it is Melbourne, the bureau has changed the expected
pleasant sunny day to one with a possibility of a bit of
rain and high winds.
Unfortunately there is no shelter at the meeting point so just in
case Remember you rain coats!
A good writing implement and a clip board of some type will be
almost a necessity to keep the instructions together if the Bureau
is correct. Also don’t forget your digital camera and gps
We have lost the use of one of our BBQs we had at our disposal but
we will still be suppling one, if any one wishes to make use
of it at the events conclusion.
Remember! A good sense of humour will overcome
anything nature throws at us, so bring yours.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS AND A WARM THANKS TO ALL THOSE
WHO ATTENDED AND MADE THIS EVENT SUCH FUN FOR US
