Geocache Description:

You are on your own for this one and it will take some planning, unless you have a yacht moared in Chester.

This cache was place here during a two-night stay on this Island. It is a beautiful spot but hard to get to. The shortest distance to main land is 3.6km and the water is cold, ruff and quite often blanketed with fog. So that pretty much rules out swimming over. Our put in spot was 7.5km from the island and 9.6kms from the cache site.
A short walk from the BBC is one Nova Scotia’s heritage Lighthouses, for more information check out (visit link) once you have figured out which one to look up.

The cache is a challenge to get to, even the last 30 metres is a bit of a scramble. But if you look at the photos the hiding spot should be easy to find. The container is an 11-litre Rubber Maid with a bike innertube holding it closed and Geocache painted on the top and side. I guess the big prize might be the Canadian flag umbrella hat or the lizard slide puzzle. Please sign the logbook and be careful on the way home. Remember this is only half way… now you have to get back in one piece.

Good luck and Bon Voyage!
