Hello and Welcome to the Ticket To Ride
series. The inspiration to place these gecoaches, along my
local railway line, came from interest in trains. I took a
lot of inspiration from the Motorway
Mayhem caches. The original Ticket To Ride cache was a
35mm film canister placed about 30 feet from Gwersylt train
station. It proved popular and I soon expanded the series to
include Caergwrle and Cefn-Y-Bydd stations.
Each cache is placed on or near the station
it takes it's name from. 35mm film canisters are normally used,
each contains a log book and a small pencil. Please take care when
caching at these locations, you should never go down onto the
track. NON of the caches require you to do this. And watch out for
muggles.
It would be nice for me if other people took
an interest in this series and helped me expand it further afield.
Anyone can place a cache under the Ticket To Ride name. If you
would like to take part contact me here.
A list and location of all the Ticket To Ride
caches can be found
here.
Neston
This cache is a small plastic contaier containing a log book two
pencils, and two ready made micro caches. It is placed not far from
Neston train station on the Wirral. As well as being able to park
in the station car park, Arriva trains Wales operate an hourly
service each way to Wrexham and Bidston.
Like most of the stations on the line it only has two platforms
with very basic facilities. Please be carefull when replacing the
cache.
This cache is part of the Ticket To Ride North series. To be
able to reach the multi cache at
Bidston you must find this cache, and the cache at
Heswall
Good luck and happy caching
